    A very fine, 8 day, silver dial floor standing regulator by Lenzkirch who are highly regarded as the best of the German/Austrian & Black Forest makers. The movement has "A" shaped plates, maintaining power & dead beat escapement and is numbered 517413 which dates it at 1907. The case is of high quality walnut & ebonised marquetary and has glazed door as well as side glass to the case. A very rare clock.

Case

 The case is of high quality walnut & ebonised marquetary and has glazed door as well as side glass to the case.

Dial

The dial is silvered and has roman numerals for the hour markers and the minute track is present around the outside of these markers. There is decorative patternation to the centre of the dial. There are 3 blued steel hands. There is the standard hour and minute hands as well as a large centre seconds sweep hand.

Movement

The movement has "A" shaped plates, dead beat escapement for accurate time keeping, maintaining power which means the clock can be wound without affecting the time keeping. The movement is numbered 517413.

Maker

Lenzkirch was founded by Eduard Hauser in 1851. It continued to 1928 in which it was taken over by Junghans. However, shortly after it was closed in 1932.
